I still have some old sweaters so I continue to search the Internet for more upcycling ideas. I LOVE this little dress. That baby is soooo cute.

Cool knitting basket
I have been cleaning out my closet and am trying to figure out what to do with the sweaters I don't want to wear any more. I have given some away...and some to Goodwill but I love a good upcycle/recycle project. Here is good one that will support my knitting habit!

Make your own dryer balls
I may be an old hippie but I don't go too crazy about everything being "natural" or chemical free. One thing I have steered clear of is fabric softener and dryer sheets. I have asthma and they just have too much scent!
Here are some very easy directions to make your own dryer balls. I like the idea of using old wool sweaters to make them.
Have a look here and get a few going as an after school project with your kids or during a movie in the evening!

Easy vintage apron projects
Sometimes I am at a garage sale or thrift store and find a pretty vintage pillow case. JUST ONE. I hunt for the mate but most times, it is long lost. Not to worry, there are still things you can do with just one pillow case. My favorite is to fashion a pretty apron. Plus I feel better about giving a sad orphaned textile a new life...you know...upcycle and repurpose....
Here are some great ideas from the blogosphere to get your creative juices flowing.

Great recycling idea!
Even though we can recycle our plastic milk jugs, I have often wondered what else I could do with all that plastic besides start seeds in the spring. Well, check this great idea out. I can't wait to finish up our milk!
Now why couldn't I have thought of that?
